June 6 Event to Celebrate HMHS Student Research on Local Impacts of World War I
The Historical Society of Haddonfield invites you to join us on Tuesday June 6 at 7 pm as we celebrate the work done by Haddonfield Memorial High School students this spring as they researched how our area was impacted by World War I. The event will be held in the HMHS library, located at 401 Kings Highway East, Haddonfield.
The HMHS class, “Haddonfield and the Great War,” was offered for the first time this semester and is taught by Social Studies teacher David Reader. Students visited the Historical Society several times in the course of their research, using primary source materials and viewing World War I-related artifacts in the Society’s collections.
At this culminating event, the students will be discussing their experiences and previewing some of the digital content they compiled. A small exhibit of primary source documents will also be on display.
Free.
