Historical Society Awarded Two Recent Grants
The Historical Society of Haddonfield was awarded two recent grants to support our work to preserve, study, and share the history of the Haddonfield community.
The Haddonfield Foundation awarded the Historical Society a generous grant that allows us to purchase an audio tour guide system for walking tours. We had rented the system for this year’s Haunted Haddonfield walking tours in October, and the Foundation’s grant allows us to purchase the system for long-term use. The system is also available for other community organizations to borrow when not in use by the Historical Society.
In addition, for the fifth year in a row, we received a general operating support grant from the Camden County Cultural and Heritage Commission at Camden County College. The Commission is the officially designated county history agency of the New Jersey Historical Commission.
“We are so grateful for the Foundation’s and the Commission’s ongoing support,” said Charlene Creed, President of the Historical Society.
