Historical Society Awarded General Operating Support Grant

The Historical Society of Haddonfield has been awarded $4,450 in general operating support from the Camden County Cultural and Heritage Commission at Camden County College. The Commission is the officially designated county history agency of the New Jersey Historical Commission.
The new grant award will strengthen the Historical Society’s work to preserve, study and share the history of Haddonfield and its environs. The Society was one of two institutions in the county to receive funding.
“We are so grateful to the Commission for this support,” said Carol W. Smith, President of the Historical Society. “Awards like this one make an immediate difference in our efforts to engage and educate the public through public programs, publications, and partnerships with local schools.”
The Camden County Cultural and Heritage Commission was founded in 1972, and recognizes the role of arts and local history in making our communities dynamic places to live and work.
