February 24 Zoom Event to Celebrate HMHS World War II Research Projects
The Historical Society of Haddonfield invites you to join us on Wednesday February 24 at 7 pm as we celebrate the work done by Haddonfield Memorial High School Advanced Placement U.S. history students this winter. The event will be held via Zoom.
Since 2014, the Historical Society has partnered with HMHS Social Studies teacher David Reader to support his students as they complete research projects about World War II using local primary source materials.
The students use selections from the Historical Society’s collection of World War II letters sent and received by then-principal William “Bull” Reynolds, as well as issues of the school newspaper and local newspapers.
At this virtual culminating event on February 24, students will share some of their research and discuss their experiences.
The event is free, though donations are always welcome. You can register for the Zoom event by clicking here, and we will send out the link and brief instructions by the day of the event.
