Roofs, Rails & Roots! Happy Hour & Garden Party
(June 27, 2024)

HSH President Jessica Lucas and HSH member Matt Falciani performing at a recent music festival.Come help us celebrate spring on our beautiful campus as we celebrate several upcoming projects. To celebrate the spring season and appreciate our beautiful gardens, including our shady cupola and new plantings, the Historical Society is holding an outdoor party in the Greenfield Hall Gardens on June 27 from 5 to 7 pm. This garden party is a celebration of two important campaigns. First, to raise funds to repair and restore the slate roof and balustrade on Greenfield Hall. Two grants have been obtained from Camden County and NJ Historic Trust, but they will not cover the entire cost of the restoration. Second, to possibly transport a historic train shed to the grounds of Greenfield Hall. The shed is owned by the board of education and is currently located behind Lullworth Hall on the Bancroft property. Local historians have indicated the shed originally stood at the Haddonfield railroad station and was moved when the Speedline was constructed. The Board of Education is thrilled to find a home for this vintage shed, as are we! It is very needed for storage on our campus since we lost our garage.

The party will feature live music provided by HSH President Jessica Lucas and HSH member Matt Falciani. Light refreshments will be served. Buy tickets HERE.
