Service for Worship

The Historical Society of Haddonfield and the Haddonfield Friends Meeting are partnering for a special event dedicated to the 300th anniversary of Haddonfield.  At 2:00 p.m., Quakers will give a brief introduction to their history and beliefs, then lead a shortened “Meeting for Worship” (worship service), similar to Friends’ practice on “First Day” (Sunday).  After worship, all are invited attend a Simple Reception in the Friends’ auditorium directly behind/attached to the Meeting House for tea and biscuits.  At this time the reproduction period clothing c. 1713 for John and Elizabeth Haddon Estaugh will be unveiled with a short explanation. Pam Perry from Meeting and Dianne Snodgrass and Carol Carty from the Historical Society are coordinating this event.  Click for haddonfield300.org Information Page.
