The Historical Society of Haddonfield’s next virtual general membership meeting will feature a presentation on the historical connections between Haddonfield and Haddon Township.
We hope you can join us via Zoom on Wednesday September 22 at 7 pm. Dennis Raible from Haddon Township Historical Society will be presenting, “Haddonfield & Haddon Township ‘Perfect Together’ 1865 to 1875.”
Dennis will be discussing the history and politics behind Haddon Township splitting off from its predecessor Newton Township in 1865. At that time, Haddonfield was part of Haddon Township, and Dennis will explain why Haddonfield later declared independence and became a separate borough in 1875.
Haddon Township Historical Society is a partner in the Historical Society of Haddonfield’s Patricia Lennon Archives Center, and this presentation will help explain these two communities’ interconnected histories.
The event is free, though online donations are always welcome. You can register for the free Zoom event via Eventbrite, and we will send out the link and brief instructions by the day of the event.
